I illustrated an exploded view of a passive house design, to communicate the components of passive house design and how they contribute to creating a highly energy-efficient house as part of my science communication journalism story in the Science Story 2023 class. After interviewing and conducting research, I created this infographic based on the design of Peter and Lori Kugler's passive house in Eugene, Oregon. Created in collaboration with Sera Lew and Aletha Lengkong for our Honors College Ice and Climate Change course. We approached researching the cryosphere from the lenses of art, science and politics and this culminated in a research poster presenting our findings with an illustration created by Aletha and I using Adobe Illustrator and Procreate.
