The purpose of this redesign is to make the modern parking meter more accessible, sustainable and visually appealing. This is done through integrating a knob that is easier to use for adjusting values than single buttons, incorporating a rotating rather than fixed solar panel roof to capture sunlight at all times of the day, and a more sleek look to make the parking meter add to, rather than detract from, the beauty of a public place.
